TIMBER HARVESTING
Another factor that effects the population of White-Tailed Deer would be timber harvesting. According to Shawn Crimmins (2010) study, timber harvesting can negatively affect the White-Tailed deer population due to the lack of forest vegetation available. Crimmins (2010) found that browsing rates of the deer, overall, declined in the area. The study highlighted the significance of shelter and food within the White-Tailed deer population and how without these essential resources their population would be seriously affected in a negative way (Crimmins & Edwards & Ford & Keyser & Crum, 2010).
